Scrooge of St. Paddy's, continued....

For some reason I only blog when I'm in a good mood. Why is that?

Today I am breaking the pattern. I am in an awful mood - everyone and everything is getting on my nerves. I jokingly told my friend Shannon that I feel like I have a black heart.

I wish I could just go home and read a book. And cuddle with my dog and husband. About books... that is always a topic that makes me happy. This weekend I finished "The Hero and the Crown," the March selection for my book club. I loved it! The heroine is one of my new favorite princesses. Not often is it the princess who saves the kingdom - and against such odds.

And since I've finished it, I've wanted to jump right into another fantasy. So I started reading our April book - "The Thirteenth Tale" . I haven't had a chance to read more than the first 2 chapters, but it seems to have potential.

Well, writing makes me feel a little better, too. And so does the prospect of a three day weekend - I've decided to take Friday off. Trust me, everyone will be better off that way.

If you liked The Hero and The Crown, be sure to read The Blue Sword. It's the companion book. I loved them both!
And while you're at it, Robin McKinney also wrote Spindle's End a retelling of Sleeping Beauty that is really good.
Melissa I just have to tell you I think your blog is one of the best ones out there. Its so interesting and fun to look at. Maybe one day mine might be like that. haha

It is nice to know I am not the only one who feels like that sometimes :). I'm so glad you loved the book! I like The Blue Sword even better - let me know if you want to borrow it.
