Family Update - 37 weeks

Family picture from 36 weeks.

Melissa is...
  • Officially 37 weeks pregnant, which means the baby is full term and can be born now. Okay, we are ready and waiting...
  • Still working on Christmas presents
  • Enjoying dvr-ing random movies and watching them after dinner with her family while working on a few stichery projects. Lately, I've watched Nancy Drew, Fiddler on the Roof, Ice Princess, Dakota, The Pelican Brief, Last of the Mohicans, Crocodile Dundee 1, etc... Good times.
  • Swimming at the public pool and hoping everyone sees she is pregnant when they wonder why she is so slow. I'm easily lapped by the senior citizen crowd.
  • happy her brother came home from school today and excited to see her sister and brother-in-law this Saturday.
  • hoping they finally found a place in Rexburg - Nicole will be inspecting for us tomorrow morning.
Scott is...
  • Having too much fun experimenting with camera equipment with my dad. Hence the lovely top picture and the above picture. Both are samples from some lighting experiment.
  • Very nice to his pregnant wife and even shares his bowl of icecream.
  • Excited for the new baby and wishing we could decide on a name already.
  • Missing kiteboarding and still tells me when the wind is blowing strong enough to go ride. Poor Scott :(
Leo is...
  • Loving having the attention of more people in the house, in addition to more comfortable couches to sit/sleep/cuddle on.
  • Constantly trying to sneak upstairs to eat the cat's food.
  • Scared of the cat, Molly. And Molly knows it! She seems to take pleasure in staring him down and chasing him when he runs around.
  • Adjusting to the Northwest very well - thanks to his cute fleece (courtesy of Scott) and winter jacket. I still feel bad for his poor paws when it is wet and cold.

What is poor Leo going to do in Rexburg? He will need a full on snow suit. It sounds like you are doing well and just playing the waiting game now :). I am still giggling thinking about the slow pregnant swimmer, but that said, I have to say that I am jealous you can go do that. So awesome that it is helping your back pain though. Hope you find a place to live soon - it will all work out. Miss you!

Sounds like you guys are ready for that baby! The car seat is ready to go, give me a call when you'd like to pick it up. I should be home all weekend since I loathe grocery shopping/shopping with the boys.

Good luck finding a place in Rexburg. Wow...any day now you will have a bundle of joy in both of your arms! How exciting. Leo is really cute in his jacket!

Don't worry about no name. We went with a totally different one with Isaac than the one I had planned on for him before we went to the hospital.
