Here is Leo. Slowly waking up on Saturday, enjoying the lazy morning. He has no idea what is in store for him today. You see, his people (or at least the girl) have been waiting for this day all week.
She found flyers at the local pet store for Wag-O-Ween. Yes, that's right: Wag-O-Ween, Halloween for dogs. Dogs get to dress up and go to participating local shops for dog treats! And it is a fund raising event for Southern Comfort Animal Rescue.
After lunch, they bribed Leo into his brand new Halloween costume. Originally, they'd wanted to go with a skeleton outfit, but decided it would be much more fun to make Leo look as ridiculous as possible. Think of it as "getting even" for all the little puppy pranks. Hence the Frankenstein dog hat and collar.
Oh he hated it! He'd rub his head in every bush and against your legs to get it off. And I just laughed and laughed.
Hence the reason he wore it like this most of the time. Still pretty cute though.
Yet we stilled managed to have it sit up right for a couple minutes, before he learned to pull it off with his paws (smart dog)!
Here we are getting our official Wag-O-Ween sticker and treat collecting bag. I couldn't stop laughing at Leo. He definitely brought a smile to faces wherever he went today. And he was rewarded for his misery with plenty of dog treats.
