Remember this next December...

FYI - According to this boy, it is necessary to eat all the red M&Ms before you
begin decorating sugar cookies.

1. Its way too much work to do one advent activity every day of December. (Much easier to just use the activities as ideas when we have time).

2. Reign in the gift splurging or risk raising spoiled rotten children.

3. Monday nights in an LDS community are the best in December - multiple door bell ditches a night.

4. Maybe January's weight-loosing resolutions need to start a little earlier - thanks to all my overly-generous and amazing-baking neighbors.

5. I love cheesy, made-for-tv holiday movies. (Poor Scott).

6. Don't order Christmas cards online - even if it is December 5th. They still won't get here before Christmas.

7. Making ornaments with glue and googly eyes never grows old.

8. Unless I want to eat a whole batch of cookies by myself, don't bake alone. They will never make it to the neighbors.

Love the made for TV Christmas movies too! Did you see "The Twelve Dates of Christmas" - my favorite of the new ones this year. And if you ever find you got too much for your kids for Christmas, you can do what I do, and just save a few of them for their next birthday - although this works better for LIly than for Derek, since he has a Dec b-day :).

Looks like Soren loved decorating the cookies! It sounds like you are doing some fun things with him.
