9.5 months: Lots to do and so little time
Lucas is a busy guy. There is always something he wants to explore or crawl over to. I'm continually trying to think of something to keep him out of trouble. Like laying my mirror down for him to look in while he plays, or giving him a no-mess paint bag like Soren, or teaching him how to drop toy balls into pots and pans.
Like Soren at this age, he is happy, smiley and chatty. I also think they have a lot of physical similarities:
But there are still a few differences. At this same age, Soren was pretty clingy. He loved to explore things too, but from his mama's arms or lap. He hadn't learned how to crawl and wanted to be held all the time.
Lucas loves to be with his mommy, but he also wants to go, go, go. So he will want to be picked up and then squirm every which way in your lap/arms until he has wiggled off onto the couch or slipped to the floor. He crawls around every room of the house and could care less if the rest of the family is somewhere else. And this just in - he can walk along furniture now!
Lucas also loves peas and green beans! Which really threw me for a loop, because Soren was the opposite and loved pears and peaches - Lucas' least favorite baby foods.
However, they both love food at this age and topped their classes in the 90th percentile. I haven't ever had a problem getting them to eat their meals and snacks as babies (Soren as a toddler is a completely different story).
Lucas' endless fascination with the world around him is my great reminder to notice and appreciate all that I have and can do. Above is an example - Lucas is fascinated with watching me vacuum. Scott was so thoughtful to take this dorky picture of me in stretchy paints and Lucas with his jammies slipping off while we cleaned the house.

Soren at 9.5 months - What do you think? Are they brothers?
